DESCRIPTION:Fall is a season\, a time of beautiful sunsets\, misty mornings and the differences in our landscape as leaves change color and start to fall\, revealing imposing branches with a vibrant leafy blanket beneath them\, until it fades into the winter months. It is a time of bonfires and creatures preparing for the cold\, a time to put away the sandals and don woolly sweaters. \nBut what about “Fall in Place?” This could mean things being right without individual worlds – a sense of order. Vegetables and fruits have been preserved for the months ahead; logs are stockpiled ready for the chill; children are back at school and preparations are beginning for Halloween and Thanksgiving\, both major fall events.  \nCome see the community’s works from this season.

Originally used in religious contexts\, piñatas now represent fun and festivity\, often associated with birthdays and Christmas celebrations like Las Posadas.  Their bright colors and the act of breaking them for treats connect to themes of faith\, virtue\, and the sharing of blessings.  Ms.Ivette will walk you through the creation of a clown piñata from start to finish.  You will then have your own handcrafted piñata to use at your next celebration.
