DESCRIPTION:Gardeners\, get ready for the annual May Mart garden sale in downtown Memorial Park Plaza. Hosted by the Chestertown Garden Club\, this popular spring event features a wide array of noninvasive perennials and shrubs\, as well as natives\, annuals\, houseplants\, herbs and vegetables\, all priced to sell quickly. The event will be held rain or shine. \nGently used garden décor\, planters\, baked goods and raffle tickets will be sold as well. Raffle tickets are three for $5 for a chance to win a $100 gift certificate from a Chestertown business of your choice. Happy Chicken Bakery will be selling breakfast and lunch items\, which can be purchased on site or preordered at happychickenbakery.com. \nChestertown Garden Club members will be on hand to offer planting care and advice on purchases. May Mart is the organization’s major fundraiser of the year\, which helps support the beautification\, restoration and maintenance of Chestertown’s Fountain and Memorial Parks.
