Main Street’s New Messenger

Jodi Bortz is energizing Main Street Chestertown’s communications as our Communications Strategist. In the newly created role, Bortz is curating our weekly e-newsletter with updates on downtown happenings and retail and restaurant news. She also will be creating content for the Main Street Chestertown website, and assisting with major events. Jodi’s contract is funded by an operating assistance grant from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development.

The owner of the custom letterpress business Blue Canary Letterpress, Jodi has past experience as director of Chestertown RiverArts and as a manager with Dun & Bradstreet RMS.

She and her husband, Greg, live just outside Chestertown with their daughters, Sydney, 11, and Bailey, 8.  She is a co-founder of Support Our Schools, a citizens group that advocates for Kent County Public Schools, and also makes time to direct her church choir and play and teach the flute!  Main Street is thrilled to have Jodi as part of our team!
