Botanical Blues: Cyanotype

Botanical Blues: Cyanotype

Discover the magic of cyanotype—the historic photographic process that creates beautiful blue-and-white images using sunlight!

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll use leaves, flowers, grasses, and other botanical materials to create your own designs. Each participant will make two cotton napkins and four cyanotype prints on paper to take home.

We’ll explore how different plants and objects create different shapes, textures, and levels of detail. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to experiment and create designs that are uniquely yours.

No previous art or photography experience is necessary. All materials are provided, but participants are welcome to bring a few favorite flat leaves, flowers, or other natural objects to incorporate into their designs.
