Main Street Historic Chestertown is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dominique Ellis Falcon as its new Executive Director. With a 20-year career spanning tourism marketing, coalition building, operational leadership, strategic communications, and community engagement, Ellis Falcon brings deep expertise and a proven track record of driving public participation and organizational growth.
Ellis Falcon joins Main Street Historic Chestertown from Washington College, where she most recently served as the Director of News & Media Relations, successfully orchestrating the College’s media presence and significantly expanding its regional, national, and international footprint. Her work at the College has enabled her to build deep, working relationships across Chestertown, giving her an intimate understanding of the unique needs of its residents and business owners.
“We are so excited to welcome Dominique as the next Executive Director of Main Street Historic Chestertown,” said Board President Rebecca Clark. “Throughout this process, we were looking for someone who both had the professional experience to lead a growing organization, and who truly understood the heart of Chestertown—our history, our small businesses, our creativity, and the people who make this community so special. Dominique brings an incredible combination of strategic expertise, storytelling ability, and genuine love for our town. We are excited for this next chapter and the opportunity to build on the strong foundation that has already been created.”
Prior to relocating to Chestertown, Ellis Falcon was a Vice President of Account Services at a premier New Orleans public relations agency and at a leading international strategic communications firm’s NYC office. She has spearheaded major communication and public affairs campaigns for regional business associations and Fortune 500 companies, as well as civic, government, and private entities, including NOLA Public Schools, New Orleans City Park Conservancy, the Marine Conservation Alliance, city-wide redevelopment and flood protection authorities, and major hospitality groups. She also directed high-profile media operations for national events like WrestleMania and the NBA Final Four in New Orleans and press conferences at the United Nations in New York. She is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans.
As an entrepreneur and the founder of Dominique Ellis Public Relations, she has specialized in driving growth for small businesses and regional festivals. Recently, she has channeled that passion into the Eastern Shore community, providing strategic publicity services that secured national and regional features in Garden & Gun, Chesapeake Bay Magazine, Axios D.C., and Edible Delmarva for local gems in Chestertown and Betterton.
"My family fell in love with Chestertown’s gorgeous landscapes, historic charm, and tight-knit community the moment we crossed the Chester River three years ago,” said Ellis Falcon. "I am honored to take on this role for Main Street Historic Chestertown and look forward to working closely with our incredible business owners, residents, and local organizations to protect the things that make our town so unique while fostering thoughtful, vibrant growth."
As Executive Director, Ellis Falcon will lead Main Street Historic Chestertown's efforts to enhance the downtown business district, strengthen regional tourism promotion, and execute Main Street Historic Chestertown’s Downtown Master Plan.
