Dixon’s Auction at Crumpton

Dixon’s Auction (officially Dixon’s Furniture Auction, but known regionally as the Crumpton Auction) is a legendary, family-owned auction house located in the small town of Crumpton, Maryland, on the Eastern Shore. Established in 1961 by Norman Dixon and now in its third generation of family operation, it is widely recognized as one of the largest "discovery" auctions in the Mid-Atlantic. Drawing antique dealers, estate liquidators, collectors, and bargain hunters from across the East Coast, Crumpton is famous for its fast-paced, high-volume sales—moving thousands of items per auction across indoor warehouses and outdoor fields, with everything from estate furniture, primitives, and fine art to jewelry, glassware, and architectural salvage.
